Bill Bjorkgren is originally from New Orleans. He picked up alto sax at the age of 15 and played in his high school jazz band.

Bill started playing in a praise band during 1993. This led to Bill learning the soprano sax -- his primary instrument now.
 

In 2002, Bill added contemporary music to his repertoire, teaming with vocalist Niki Fox to form a group called Beyond Praise. They released a new CD on Leap Day, 2004. The primary purpose of their ministry is to inspire people as to how God can use and change them.
